Matthew Kleckner

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in the city of Reading, just outside of Philadelphia, Matthew had dreams of becoming a paleontologist since he was a child. Like most dreams that one died and a new one took its place, joining the Marine Corps. Then that one died, then another, then another, until he started performing at the age of seventeen and realized he was meant to be an actor. Ever the athlete, Matthew did not participate in his high school's theatrical productions but instead was lured into his local community theatre scene with the intention of gaining performance experience that would hopefully help him land a job as a dolphin trainer at SeaWorld. He fell in love with the stage and hasn't looked back since.

Matthew earned his BA in Acting and Directing from DeSales University in Allentown, Pennsylvania and has been working professionally since his freshman year. After graduating he moved to New York and within his first year in the city wrote and produced his first short play. In his limited spare time Matthew can be found at multiple locations of Planet Fitness training his friends and coworkers in the subtle art of lifting weights. A frat boy with a heart bigger than his brain, those who know Matthew best would say theres no quicker way to his friendship than cold beer and stimulating conversation.
